PR-E50 & PR-E40 Common No-Alarm Troubleshooting & Solution
Problem Trouble-shooting Methods
Difficult to cut Check whether the blade is worn again, if it is sharpened at the original angle
Blade Edge Chipping When the shear's blade is open, shake the upper blade left and right to check the gap between the upper blade and the lower blade, and adjust the tightness in time
No Alarm Shutdown Check the battery voltage and whether the power is sufficient
Jump gear /abnormal sound If the branches cannot be cut, and you hear an abnormal sound, check whether the blade is too tight

PR-E8 Troubleshooting & Solutions
Problem Possible Causes Solutions
The guide bar and chain become hot and release smoke The chain is too tight Adjust the chain tension
The fuel tank is empty Add lubricant
Contamination has caused the exhaust port to become clogged Remove the guide bar and clean the discharge port
Contamination has led to the fuel tank becoming clogged Clean the fuel tank and add new lubricant
Contamination has caused the guide bar and fuel tank cap become clogged Clean the guide bar and fuel tank cap
Contamination has resulted in the sprocket or guide wheel becoming clogged Clean the sprocket and guide wheel
The motor is running, but the chain is not moving. The chain is too tight Adjust the chain tension
The guide bar and chain are damaged Replace the guide bar and chain
Motor damage

1. Remove the battery from the machine

2. Remove the guide bar cover

3. Remove the guide bar

4. Clean the machine

5. Install the battery and operate the machine

6. If the sprocket turns, it indicates that the motor is working properly. If not, contact the customer service.

The motor is running and the chain is moving, but the chain is not cutting The chain is blunt Replace the saw chain
The direction of the chain is incorrect Turn the chain link to the other direction
The chain is either tight or loose Adjust the chain tension
Adjust the chain tension Cut about 10 times Rotate the yellow knob to adjust chain tension distance 1-3 mm (0.12 inch)
When one or two indicator lights on the battery pack are flashing, and the machine fails to start The capacity of the battery pack is very small

1. Cool the battery or the machine down to ambient temperature.

2. Recharge the battery.

3.Restart the machine.

The battery or control board is in overheat protection mode
The motor is running, but the chain is not cutting properly, or the motor stops after approximately 3 seconds The machine is in protection mode to safeguard the PCB Release the trigger and start the machine again. Do not force the machine to cut.
The battery is not charged To charge the battery, please refer to the battery and charger manual for the correct charging procedure
The chain is not lubricated Lubricate the chain to reduce friction, and do not operate the guide bar and chain without sufficient lubrication.
